We accept those foods that are close to their ‘expiration date’, as a soup kitchen, we are concerned with the mitigation of imminent hunger and the reduction of food wastage. In that regard, we do make good use of those products.

We have a refrigerator/freezer to store fresh food items

Funds are primarily obtained from private donors, intra-source funding, and NGO donations.

The soup kitchen is run for ₦500 per meal (beside this let there be a link to “sponsor a meal today” which will lead them to the donate page) while the scholarship program costs ₦950,000 per child per annum (again.. “sponsor a child today” which will lead them to the special form for street kids to school donations). It costs us ₦350,000 on average for each person in our Vocational school (finally, donate towards our vocational school………)

We do appreciate every kind of support, we would welcome all forms of donations including but not limited to : Cash and non cash, donations, Time, Skills and more

The foundation serves daily meals in her soup kitchen. We also run a scholarship program for underprivileged kids as well as a vocational program geared towards the young adult male

One could only walk the streets and see the number of hungry persons roaming the street, it was only wise that the candlelight foundation be established to mitigate the hunger ravaging the society, thereby enhancing productivity and gainful job seeking.

Mostly, we would need food and groceries to continue the feeding program. We also require funding to continue the scholarship program as well as skills to help in the different programs. Reach out to us today to see how best you can assist in our cause.

The candlelight foundation was incorporated in 2016 and opened its doors to the public on April 24th ,2017.

Everyone! There is no discrimination to access our soup kitchen and scholarship program. However, our shelter is for boys at this time and while we don’t discriminate on who can attend the vocational school, it is geared towards the male in society.

Anyone can partner with the candlelight foundation.
